Midnight Masquerade: MAIS New Year Prom 2024
On December 27th, 2024, Mongol Aspiration International School held its annual prom, and this year’s theme, "Midnight Masquerade," brought an air of elegance and mystery to the night. It was an evening to celebrate our achievements, strengthen our bond as a school community, and welcome the new year with excitement and joy.
The school was beautifully decorated for the occasion—classrooms had festive window paintings, the halls ornamented in festive cutouts, and the basketball court was magically transformed into a stunning ballroom. The MAIS TIMES club also set up a photo booth on the B1 floor, to commemorate the day. Students arrived in their most fanciest attire, adding pizazz and grandeur to the event.
The students were first generously provided a fine meal from the cafeteria, featuring pineapple chicken - far better than the normal ARTA - , a warm and delicious treat for the special day.
An award ceremony in the ballroom commenced, to celebrate the spectacular display of academics by our hardworking and diligent students. Two outstanding students from each class, and the top performers in the CAIE exams were awarded with a prize, for their amazing year. In addition one lucky student from within two classes was selected through a lottery draw to receive a special prize, granting them immense luck for the next year.
The celebration then continued with musical performances, most notably a jaw-dropping vocal performance by our school manager, B.Bilguun, which left the whole audience in awe. Other talented students also played on the stage,and put on incredible dancing spectacles making the night even more memorable and groovy. Adding more to the christmas spirit, Santa, in his iconic red, made a very special appearance, delivering a sack full of goodies to every class.
Afterwards, as the highlight of the night, we tallied the votes and crowned the Prom King and Queen, with them officially kicking off the dancing . The ballroom came to life, and exuded with love , as couples and friends closely slow danced to the melodic and sentimental tunes. The day ended off with a disco, as the students waltzed about until exhaustion.
This year has come to an end, and the new one is right around the corner. Make sure to learn from the previous year and do the best you can. May the new year be filled with even more success, happiness and memories. Best of luck!
